The First voice school was held in Christchurch in 2005, at a small boutique voice recording studio called "The Voice Booth". The course ran very successfully over the subsequent years, the curriculum and lessons becoming more and more refined through each time it was run.

Previous tutors have included: Mark Hadlow (The Hobbit), Deb Stanaway, Ron Rodger (pictured), Dan Bernstone, Richard Green, Dave Dunlay, Mike Drew, and Georgia Cubbon.

Now, the course is being offered in Auckland and around New Zealand by one of the original founders of the course, Toby Ricketts.

Toby has years of experience on both sides of the microphone, having been a sound engineer in radio for over 25 years, and a voice over for 15 years, with the last 8 years as a full-time professional.

The industry of voice over is changing rapidly with the advent of the on-line marketplace, and there's no better place to learn how to make the most of the changes, than with the Voice Academy.

Due to the popularity of the course extra workshops have been put on more recently.
